March 1, 2008:

Jason's brother, Daniel and his wife, Arlene came down for a visit this weekend.  We all went to SeaWorld for their Bud & BBQ concert series to see Craig Morgan.  The food was great and Craig Morgan was AWESOME!  Jason plays his video for the song "International Harvester" off of Music on Demand for the girls all the time and they ride their rocking horses while they belt it out word for word:)  Needless to say, they were thrilled to see "the tractor song guy" in person.  He has some really good songs but we also like him because he is prior military and devotes tons of his time to supporting the troops!!!  He does a BEAUTIFUL rendition of Amazing Grace!  Here are a few of pics I took during the concert:

February 26, 2008: 

Well, we have started 2008 off with a bang!  Congratulations are in order to Jason for his promotion in the latter part of last year but most recently he was notified that he would be the recipient of Lockheed Martin's Galaxy award!  The Galaxy award is Lockheed's second highest honor and is presented to a select few who have made noteworthy individual contributions to the company.  Way to go Jason!  We would expect nothing less from you:)

In light of Jason's recent successes, we decided that a celebration was in order.  Jason's mom was already coming down for a visit and was quite easily convinced to stay a bit longer than planned and spend some quality time with the girls while we went out on the town. 

Our first stop was Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where the food is worth every penny of the mortgage payment that you will spend on it!  Dinner was immediately followed by Jason breathing heavily into a brown paper bag to ease the trauma of the bill.  Once he had regained his composure, we were off to The Wine Room in Winter Park.  This place is amazing!  We have been wanting to try it for some time now and were glad that we finally did!  Here's how it works:  you purchase a pre-paid card and insert into the wine dispenser of your choice and select a 1 ounce, 2.5 ounce or 5 ounce portion.  The atmosphere is great and we had a wonderful time sampling all those vines:)
